Rhodia has developed Jaguar HP120, a rapidly hydrated thickener derived from guar that is fully compatible with alcohol for easy formulation of soap-free antibacterial hand gels, according to the company. This naturally-derived product helps formulators create hydro-alcoholic antibacterial solutions with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerine to leave hands clean and soft.

Jaguar HP120 provides sensorial and economic benefits for consumers and formulators, said Rhodia. It is compatible with hydrating agents, making it easy for formulators to create everyday-use gels that do not dry out the skin. Clariant introduced Genaminox CHE, a bio-based amine oxide (AO) for hard surface cleaning that enables manufacturers to cut active ingredient input to achieve lower cost, greener products with enhanced cleaning performance, according to the company.

The high active AO is proven in industry-standard Gardner tests to consistently outperform alternative surfactants at a very low concentration. By using a less active ingredient, manufacturers can reduce material purchasing, storage and transportation costs, while being confident of achieving perceivable performance improvements and the differentiation they need for their product, said the company.
